Kehlet Guitars are produced in a variety of unique versions:
“Folk”, “Folk Modern”, “Concert”, “Great 6”, “Great 12”, “Grand Folk Finn Olafsson Signature”, “Millenium™ 2000” and “Classic”.
Most of these models are offered in either “Basic”, “Standard” or “Deluxe” versions according to the client's special wishes for materials, width of the fretboard, neck design, ornamentation, and the like.
Unique materials for unique players
The choice and the quality of the wood is essential to a guitar's sound and performance. Ole Kehlet experiments and explores different wood materials, using such materials as quilted bird's eye maple, Brazilian rosewood, flame maple, German spruce, sitka spruce, cedar wood, ebony etc.
Being a “small“, independent guitar maker, Ole Kehlet has access to types of wood which are not available in the quantities demanded by the big guitar manufacturers.
All Kehlet Guitars feature tops of either German spruce, sitka spruce, redwood or cedar wood, and fretboards made from the finest African ebony hard wood. The finish is cellulose lacquer on all models except for the Classic which is hand-rubbed with French polish.
All Kehlet steel-stringed guitars can be made to order with a cutaway and an excellent pickup system.
